Kansai Airport

I love airports and planes so Ritsuko and I went out to see Kansai Airport (Japanese "Kansai Kuko" or shortened to "Kanku") on the 19/10/1999. Unfortunately I only had my fixed lens Canon Prima (focal length 35mm) with me at the time. I would have loved to have a telephoto then to get closer to the many and a varied planes and a ultra wide angle lens to capture the terminal building in all its glory. Maybe another time.

Kansai Airport is the International Airport for the Kansai region which includes the cities of Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara. The whole airport is built on an 4km long by 1km wide man made island 3km out to sea, with a 3km long double deck road and rail bridge connecting it to the mainland. The terminal building itself is 1.7km long.
