Views of Kaimon-dake (aka Satsuma-Fuji)

Kaimon-dake is a conical shaped mountain on the southern coast of Kagoshima Prefecture. It looks similar to Mount Fuji and thus is nicked named "Satsuma-Fuji" ("Satsuma" is the old name for Kagoshima Prefecture).

Lovely photos James do you have any photos of the volcano from the other side of the bay. I have a few taken from Takesu beach just outside Kanoya city. I am Australian and holiday there sometimes...

I wish i lived there so much miss Japan so much will be there next in Feb/March 2011!!!
