Traditional Restaurant

Arashiyama, Kyoto-fu, Japan view map

This restaurant (the business not the building), have been in the same family for 70 generations. We came here for the 7 course lunch which cost 7000yen per head. Every dish was carefully hand crafted and matched to the appropriate plate.

Once I get back to Japan..
I will defenetly go there... Traditional things are priceless.
7,000Yen sounds truly expenssive... I bet it's worth it.

This restaurant has been in business since near beginning of the Heian era which began in 794 AD

70 generations is a long time. at 5 generations per century, this restaurant would go back to 600 AD? what say you?
Fantastic if true.
