All that remains now of Satsuma-jo are the walls, now they've built an art gallery on the top of the walls where the castle once stood. One of the features of this site is the bullet holes in the wall, this is one of the few places in Japan were there has been a gun battle, this occurred during the Satsuma rebellion.
