The peak of the cosmos wasn't as spectacular as last year due to the typhoon which flatted them in October, and the Cosmos Festival was cancelled. There still were enough of them around to get some good shots of them. You can see a view of the field where this cosmos was here. According to what I've found out from searching the net, Cosmos are actually native to Mexico, but they are very popular in here Japan. Here's hoping I get to see the Cosmos Festival next year.
