Mortis and tenon construction is often employed in all Kam building and woodworking techniques. The iron piece seen in the lower middle of the image is used to tie and secure wood logs and beams together. The methods seen here and in other images are used by most of the minority people that use wood for construction. As concrete block becomes a popular method of construction some homes have been replaced by this. There is no comparison visually between a wood home using time proven building methods and a concrete block home.
