On a particularly dull and grey December day, I walked around one of Stockholm's recycling plants, where all different kind of scrap and refuse is meticulously sorted. Unusable combustable stuff is put together and shredded to be used as fuel in power generation plants. It is somewhat uplifting that only a fraction of the remains of the modern society ends up in the landfill.
Whithout having passed any signs of "No trespassing", I was finally confronted to local workers on the plant. It was somewhat difficult to explain what and why I was photographing – just plain rubbish...? After having failed to give a plausible explanation of my reason (at least in a way that made sense to them), I was forced to leave...
