The interiors of process-oriented industries surely has similarities with an organism, exposing veins, arteries, hearts and other organs. Although highly organized and designed from a functional point of view, it often appears chaotic and random at first. As this is all about abandoned sites, let's call this "industrial pathology"...

I took the slideshow tour, and had to stop and comment after the first 50. These are just amazing, what a job it must have been to capture all of this. I bet you didn't mind, though. I know the feeling one can get when in a cool and interesting place with the camera ready. Thanks for documenting this era, it's great to be able to look at good photos from a lost time.

Brilliant gallery. It brings up child hood memories of exploring ruins and discovery. I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia and there was a grain carrying ship in dock that was decomissioned. It stayed there for months before being towed away and dismantled. We managed to explore the huge ship before it was dragged away, and your great photography makes me wish I was interested in photography back then.....
