Yes - I know. Is not the first time in history - it seems like photographers have been attracted by the beauty of falling drops for ages. However, this time it was done in the engineer's way - with a syncronized flash, a laser beam and a high-speed timer, which gives a "hit rate" close to 100% :) The question has been risen more than once - it is *not* captured with high-speed mode of the camera - it's too slow for that, even at 8.5fps. Only one picture was taken for each drop.

I made a few experiments with different combinations of liquids, each behaving different.
