Altough it were clear signs of cleanup operations in this particular warehouse, the distinct smell of photographic chemicals was still threre. The chemicals in this business are overall nasty by nature and one can imagine that years of spill and liberal rinsing out of stuff into the drains holds potential surprises in the pipes and down into the concrete floors.
I remember back some twenty-five years ago when I developed both film and made paper copies, always using Kodak chemicals. Film developers were Microdol-X and D-76 and for papers D-72. I recall that these were delivered in paper boxes and the developer was packed in plastic sachets and that these were "Manufactured in Sweden". Maybe they had some mixing and/or packaging operation in here...
