... a picture of a Kodak product in this product space. Without any evidence whatsoever, one can almost imagine the well-fed VPs sitting here and lamely nodding to this "... new product leg, which may be a niche in the future. Besides all what we currently have and make tons of money from, of course"...

DC-210 – there is actually still information about it on Kodak’s web page. It seems to be an original design from around 1998 and that Kodak performed fairly well with respect to competition back then. I remember buying a $300 Canon consumer-grade digial camera back then and that one was really a joke.

Ironically - Kodak was a pioneer in the digital field and cooperated with both Canon and Nikon on professional cameras already in the 1990s. From being Kodak-branded products, Kodak was eventually moved to the back seat and Kodak's last attempt with the SLR/n series ended up nowhere. The rest is history so to say.
