I was first puzzled by the omnipresent signs of soot and burns down in the bunker until I discovered that it was remains from stuff that had been removed by the Russians using a blowtorch before they left. Metal stuff of all kinds was simply cut down and most likely brought back due to some residual scrap value. Given that even water pipes, duct pipes, fences and other simple stuff was removed, I just wonder how the transports from Falkenhagen back to Russia looked back in 1992.
Here, a basic vent duct has been cut down. One can just wonder the scrap value of it - was it worth the gas and time to bring it down?
