When looking closer, the text "The Mossgruvan Store" can be seen faint in the asbestos-concrete sheets over the entrance door. The condition of that car minus hood (1970s Opel Rekord 1700?) certainly adds up to the overall gloom of this scene.
The sign for the bus stop to the right further adds to the picture. One can imagine this being the center location of the community back in the days where people went here to get their everyday needs, meet, gossip, connecting them to "big world outside".
Apparently, there is some bus service still operating, allowing people to go to neighboring Grängesberg or Kopparberg, but it does indeed look very bleak.
