The first bridge at Tallberg was completed in 1891.

Presumably a grand undertaking at that time, but given a maximum train speed of 20 kph with just 12 tons of maximum axle load, the bridge quickly became obsolete. In less than 30 years after it was built, it was replaced with the second bridge.
