The abandoned peat moss plant

Processing of peat moss was once a typical seasonal business where local farmers joined together to get peat for their own soils and also to be used as fuel. In both world wars, Sweden’s large supply of peat provided an important substitution for imported coal.

This particular plant has apparently experienced a long downward slope and no regular operation seems to have taken place the last ten to twenty years.
