Some ruins simply keep the kind of mysterious spirit, but this abandoned Spanish motel was just disgusting and gave the feeling of a having been very sleazy place. Motels as a concept surely were invented in the US, most countries seem to have copied the concept in the post-WWII era as the number of motorists grew year by year. This place seems to have shared a fate, common to many motels and gas stations – a new route for the highway. Suddenly 90% of your customers are gone and the place starts its slope downwards. Without any solid evidence, my impression is that the last period of this place’s life was as a brothel.
