Depth of Color

Had one of those days...
during which..
and despite the brightness
of the sunlit day...
you can be reminded of the potential
ugliness of human nature...
Therapy consisted of a walk in the
local Japanese Friendship Gardens
Put a bunch of photos from today up.

So beautiful and delicate! I love the darkness of the rest of the image -- it really sets off the pale color of the flower.

What a productive day you had. The subtleties and color transitions here are just unbelievable. I love the greens and purples together. This is just outstanding.

Wonderful when the magnolias start to bloom!

Aye, when you're feeling down, taking a pleasant walk and reveling in the beauty of nature can certainly lift one's spirits. Nicely done photo. Bright and cheerful flower. Spring - a time of renewal in nature - can certainly do much to renew and brighten your outlook on life.

This is so beautiful! I love your photos from the Bay Area. I lived in Northern CA for 17 years and miss it so much!

Wow - things are blooming down there? Snowing here . . .
Lovely - a refreshing spot of color. Cindy
