FlowerBat

Okay..
Fine...
Darn Co-workers...
Had to show me the ad for Fry's..
on payday...
fine...
Especially since it seems like our
professors for class keep saying..
hey.. videotape..etc..etc..
document, record, etc..etc..
so... I...
Brought a digital camcorder for 199.00
(hey, it's a Canon!)
Played with the 'snapshot' feature too.
(ewwww...)
Thank goodness for PS.. Crosshatch and Dry Brush overlaid.
So, needless to say.. I'm already torturing the cats
with the camcorder.. need to test it..eh?

alternate torture scene.

Well, I think this is beautiful. You started out with a great subject, and the effects you added make it look like a painting.

That's precisely why I won't buy a camcorder! One more tool to learn, one more thing to spend money on, one more set of infrastructure, tools, workflow, blah, blah, blah. It's hard enough for me to do what little skills I have with the camera and PS without diluting my meager talent.

But I can definitely see how PS could help with taking a relatively small sensor size (480x640, right?) and being able to do some PS work to make it look better. And then there's always the cat-torturing. Well-suited to camcorders that you can go back in and edit to find the perfect image!

Nice photoshop work. Always amazes me how quickly we can turn a photo we aren't satisfied with into something a fine artist would spend two days rendering :) This has a great 'old world masters' coloring to it. Like another, I think it's great how the clarity is retained where it needs to be.

Nice effect!

I suspect they enjoy this sort of torture. This is a really nice effect. I like how the highlights in his eyes remained sharp.

Nice post processing.
