Found.

Derek (hubby) came in from checking the mail.. with a sad,
worried expression on his face today..
What's the matter hon?..

Oh.. that one little kitty was following me up the driveway again..
The one I saw last week.. I thought she belonged to someone.. but....

-Dawn doesn't hesitate as she gets up, puts the popcorn up, shoes on..
goes out to our patio.. opens gate.. this lovely youngling comes right
up.. meow.. purrrrrrr...purrrrrrrrrrrr... rub...

Derek-"She seems friendly"

I pick her up.. She feels like.. skin, bones.. and it seems like 2 lbs..
Carry her inside-still purring, no struggle-up to the bedroom we go..
close door-

She's been slowly eating cat food, wet & dry.. not hogging...
but a bit here & there, followed by a lie down. And a loud MEOW
whenever we come in the bedroom.. She definately knows what a cat food bowl
looks like.. So thin.. she must have been on her own for a long time..

Vet opens tommorrow at 9:00- I may hit craigs list and the local paper online to peruse the
lost ads.. I should make FOUND signs.. Tho, she's so thin.. I'm just like HURUMPH!

My hubby (& I) seem to be magnets for stray cats.. He swear's they follow him home.. (I swear they see a sucker who will spoil me rotten coming from a mile away..)

Jeanne?... Larry?... Need a cat? (we have 3) Very sweet personality! (so far-could just be the food tho..)

Such a sweet thing, it's vacation time again, too many people 'need' a cat but when it's time to go on (an expensive) vacation they dump the poor things to fend for themselves. Shame on them! It's good to know that there are still people like you that care! Nice picture too.

Beautiful kitty....

Handheld picture-had camera on the floor tho, for stability. Hubby says we might be able keep her..I think he feels bad he didn't 'take her in' sooner. We always hope that people actually CARE for their pets.. She was looking more run down tho, this time.. hence the hmm.. worry.. (she did manage to jump up on the bed on the bed and was curled up last time I checked on her-body functions are working too.. so good signs-abet a couple of sneezes.. )

Awww, what a sweet heart you have, Dawn. Good luck finding her a home. Do you have a local TEARS organization? (TEARS = The Emergency Animal Rescue Service) They work a lot different than places like Humane Society and what-not. They will never put an animal down, they usually have "foster homes" where she could stay until they find her a permanent place.

What a dear. It is unbelievable how people can do this. I found an abused, abandoned cat in our back yard last year and she was so sweet; incredible how trusting they still can be after simply being dumped. There's probably a better home out there for her than the one she came from.

Point taken & Thanks. Grin.. I was thinking of Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter books.. and according to any vet/SPCA worker I've ever talked to.. never name your pet 'Lucky' it just seems to bring em bad luck.. lol.. sides.. gotta go with the personality..

Cute kitty, but we can't have cats! I hope you find her owner soon. I would ask my mom, but their house is already a zoo...... If you can't find the owner, or a taker(?) I'll ask around at work Monday. Keep me posted.....hmmmm - now a name? Lucky? ;)
