Timeless, Heidi. The blurred people, due to your slow shutter speed, are abstracted and become figures out of the past as well as the present. I love the way the person's head on the left vanishes into the umbrella, the way the elbow of the man at the right end of that group points into the negative space between the two groups, as if to lay claim to that territory as well. The expression of the arms of the two people on the right hand side of the picture add energy to the image. Meanwhile, a gull lays claim to the foreground, and the distant ships offer a sense of scale in the far distance. This image is like a painting that we can look at time and time again, and discover something new in it every time. It is a moment in time that will never end, even though the day itself draws to a close.
