Great photo! Good question: I've vote for take-off because of the position of feet and wings.

I think it is taking off as its feet are folded for flight! Excellent capture of that black belly and feather detail. Voted.

Looks like levitating or having fun on trampoline, or trying to spot some prey to catch, or maybe searching for wife that took off with his best buddy? Anyway, definitely just showing off the skills rather than doing something useful. Great shot!
