On March 19, 2003 in Nedelrand Colorado (8500' above sea level) it began to snow...and it snowed and snowed and snowed. A once in a century storm hit the front range of Colorado in what is referred to as "an upslope condition" whereby warm moist air is pulled up the front range of colordo, cooling and dumping lots of snow. When it was all over, as much as 80 inches fell in 48 hours. We did not leave home for 8 days, as this is how long it took for the roads to be cleared by excavators using front end loaders and bull dozers
