Yankee Soldiers Burst Into Anthony Home At Sandersville, Ga. The father of Bascom Anthony, J.D. Anthony, is in a bad row of stumps as he faces Yankee soldiers in his home. Bascom Anthony, only five at the time, grew up to be a preacher and his first assignment was the Methodist Charge at Jacksonville, Ga. He was a colorful character. From the window where he is standing he has just seen a Yankee soldier take away their horse. They also fried their cow for supper. [See Article No. 188.]
