Identical Houses Of Daughters Of John L. Day

These three houses were built for three daughters of John L. Day. It is said someone asked Captain Day why he built all the houses the same. He replied something like this: "So those daughters would not fuss about differences." Smart man! The houses still stand and are across the street from the Lumber City Methodist Church. Note: Some of the homes have been slightly modified, e.g., added small rooms, storage, etc. But essentially, even with those changes, the homes remain just about like they were.
