Monterey Bay Whale Watch 2022
Once again from Moss Landing, this time in May - Blue & Humpback Whales Featured
Several baby humpbacks were clustered close to shore and very active, jumping & slapping their flukes
Farther out there were many blue whales about 90 minutes off shore on a fast craft.
The Blues are so large they don't breach, mostly blow spouts and dive, so lots of fluke action.
Blue whales reach up to 29.9 meters in length & weigh up to 199 metric tons
& they are the largest animal known to have ever existed
