Chobe Riverfront is located in Botswana's Chobe National Park at the farthest Northeast section of the park. This area contains lush floodplains and dense woodland of mahogany, teak and other hardwoods and is a major watering point for a multitude of fauna. The park is known for its spectacular elephant population, it contains an estimated 50,000 elephants which may be the highest elephant concentration of Africa. The Chobe River originates as the Cuando River in the West before the Liyanti swamp. After the swamp the river is is named the Liyanti River, then the Chobe river in Botswana, eventually joining the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe where it feeds the Vistoria Falls on its way to the Indian Ocean.
