What a difference, they sure grew up! That must feel so rewarding when you see them thriving and looking so healthy and happy.

Quite often in the wild, a mother will kill and eat her young, if she feels threatened
They seem to think that if the young will die anyway, they will return all the wasted resources to their own system to help them survive for a further mating
Obvious this mother felt somehow threatened if the rescue centre, although it is a rarity, it does occasionally happen

Bless however many of you there are for taking on this "herculean" task. And herculean it is. Good luck to you and the puppies. Any idea why the mother killed her babies? I've never known of a mama dog to kill her pups.
