Very First Sprite

Tallahassee / Quincy, Florida

This is the very first conversion to a Sprite that I ever did, and I was VERY proud of it at the time! The young lady was downloaded from some internet site because I loved the pose and was going to have a client copy it. (When I see a pose I particularly like, I will often download a copy and make a hard print of it to show a client for them to duplicate it in the studio.) This particular young lady in the image was totally nude originally, and was on a seamless blue background.

My client did a marvelous job with all the poses, but would not sign a model’s release so I’ve never showed any of the work that I did on that day on any of my web galleries. Months later when I was up in pain on a sleepless night, I wondered “What if I made this gal into a fairy or a sprite, … would it work?” Well, I didn’t have any photos on file of dragon-fly wings, but I did have some of butterflies, so I picked a set out that I thought was attractive and went to work.

I’m embarrassed to say, it took almost two hours to finish this first conversion … but I was delighted with the result! Since then I’ve reached the level of skill that I can blend the client into a bed of flowers, make their ears into Sprite ears, and all the other manipulations that is necessary to convert a file in just a hair over an hour.

This particular image of a Sprite was “gleaned from the web” and the original photograph of the girl was not taken by me. I have used these photographs whenever I can with the original photographer’s permission, and if not with their permission, from public domain sites. If you are the original photographer and if I did not contact you and if you do not want your model displayed in this matter, please inform me and I will remove it immediately! These images were converted in the early days of me experimenting with converting women into Faeries, and I used whatever photograph I had at hand to practice.
