I worked on my New Year’s Resolutions tonight. It didn’t go very well. It made me start to think about how hard we sometimes make these things. I mean, why don’t we ever make up resolutions that go something like “Get laid” or maybe “Drink as much as I want”? Why is it always something hard like “Quit smoking” or “Be kind to homeless people that get in our face and demand money claiming to be Viet Nam vets” when obviously they are so young they weren’t even BORN during that war? (Sigh) Sometimes I think we should just chuck this entire “New Year’s Resolutions” bit and go have a smoke and a drink.
