This is “Jonesy”, the father of one of Gerie’s oldest and dearest friends. We drove down to mid-state today and spent the day eating BBQ ribs and chicken, and I might as well confess that I had a nice visit with my friend from Tennessee, Mr. Jack Daniels as well. I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed the long talk I had with this fascinating man, and it was indeed a pleasure talking with him. It seems sometimes that folks today just don’t take the time to sit and talk with the “older” generation, and that’s a shame, for we could learn so much from them. It’s hard to believe from looking at his photo, but Jonesy is 70 years old. I hope I’m that sharp twenty years from now!
