I love this image. I think I love it so much because I know what the original looked like. It was a “throwaway”. Trash. One that I would never have even showed to the client. It was lost for years along with hundreds of other photos and negatives with all the moving I’ve done from place to place. It was found about a month ago, and it was just as bad as I remembered it; scratched and yellow, … horrible orange / yellow / red color balance with too much density and covered with dust spots from the original negative. I scanned it anyway thinking “what the hey?” After all, I always need to practice in Photoshop those skills I’m learning.

I was blown away by the way this came out. Ethereal, … glowing, … angelic. I got in touch with the original client from around 12 or 13 years ago and she too was blown away. She wants a printed enlargement. Ain’t life grand?
