As in all things Lou, this is a matter of opinion. In **MY** opinion, (and since it’s my PAD image I guess it’s the only one that matters in this case), I happen to love the taste of meat, … seasoned with spices or not. My favorite way to cook meat is over an open wood fire, … though technically I suppose one could say the smoke “seasons” the meat, I put nothing else on it. You are welcome to whatever “meat substitute” that you wish, as is your right, … but for me I prefer the real thing.

Meat doesn't tastes good, it's the spices we put on it that give it the taste. Meat has, like all foods, advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantges are quite bigger then the advantages and it is a nutrition that is easy to replace by things that are much more valuable and as tasty as well.
This said, enjoy your steak, I do the same sometimes, just not too often for sure.
