Being a real man is smiling and hugging your kids and thanking them
for the Christmas Gift that they gave you, … telling them that you really
needed it, … even though it’s a bottle of the same stuff they gave you the
year before, … and the year before that, … and the year before that for
the last 13 years when they were five and three years old. You tell them
that you really love it, … even though you haven’t cared for the scent
for the last ten years. This too is part of being a man.

Thanks Dawn. As a baby boomer growing up after WWII, Old Spice was of course Dad’s choice. The first time I ever shaved I used it to cool my face down from the razor burn, and I used it myself for years. I still enjoy it occasionally, … but at one point I had five full bottles of the stuff received as gifts from my (at the time) little ones. Surprisingly, … before I got married this last May, every young lady that I went out with would be all over me when I wore it. Hmmmm.

Thanks Cheryl, I appreciate that. I also noticed in the forum on this section that a couple of other folks posted on this image as well, but for some reason the image ID number has changed and now those posts link no-where at all and they’ve disappeared from here. (Scratching head in puzzlement.) PBase has been acting very strange these last few days, and I want to assure anyone that had posted here that I did not delete your posts! If you can remember what you said (good or bad), please feel free to post it again!

Sweet photo of a sweet moment. Lovely sentiment.
