Marilyn: Forever Blonde
June 2009
written by Greg Thompson
Directed by Stephanie Shine
Stephanie Shine directs playwright Greg Thompson's script for the solo show that utilizes Monroe's actual words to re-create the life of the actress who appeared in such films as "Some Like It Hot," "All About Eve" and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." "It is 1962 and Marilyn Monroe is in the midst of a photo shoot. She is 36 years old, divorced for the third time and living alone. Frustrated by Hollywood and tired of the label 'sex symbol,' Marilyn longs to be respected for her talent and wonders what it would be like to do it all over again," according to press notes.
