25 January

The Never-Ending Birthday

If Benedict's birthday was last week .... then it must be Theodore's birthday this week!
The boys' birthdays are only six days apart, so January is a busy month in our house.

Teddy received exactly what he wanted for his birthday: Lego Model No. 4482, the Star Wars AT-TE
(whatever in the hell that is). When I got home from work, The Wife had everything perfectly organised:
nearly every bowl in the house was filled with little Lego pieces. We got to Step 18 before it
was time to put the boys to bed ... we only have something like 1,384 steps remaining.
As you can tell from the photo, we have a long way to go.

At this rate, Ted's birthday will last a long time.

By the end of the evening, the Birthday Boy was looking like he was more than ready to call it a day.
Benny, though, was playing the role of the bratty little brother to perfection. (Click on photos to view.)

Great fun! I love legos! Can I come play with the kids?? Mine are too grown up...

LOL! Looks very well organised, but I can guarantee that at least five pieces of lego
will mysteriously get lost under the sofa...

The pictures of the boys are a riot. I know that no matter how much I tried to make life fair for each of my kids, when it came to birthdays some form of the green jealousy monster would rear it's ugly head. Their very cute boys though... Happy b-day to Theodore. Nice shot of a huge project to come. Hope we'll get to see it in progress or at least completed.

Neat pic, Jim, and fun caption. Here's a thought -- bring your lovely bride and the boys to San Diego and visit LEGOLAND! It's a blast! Best theme park I've ever visited.

The composition and pieces makes me think of Meccano! I also wanted the Meccano ferris wheel as a child, and I never got it.

I know he will enjoy this gift. My brother and I used to fight over those toys, though back when I was young it was not star wars.

And then it's on to Lego Mindstorms Robotics. You wonder why we don't die of boredom when our kids get older and stop getting these cool toys.

Just wait until you get to the Lego Technic stuff where you can build cars with engines that have working pistons etc......

Gotta love those Legos. This looks very familiar to me. Those darn Legos take forever to complete and I am so sick of having to help put them together!!! Very colorful image,Jim. Happy B-day to Theodore!!
