Wasp Mating

I confess - I am a voyeur.

Yesterday I saw what looked like an exhausted wasp on a zinnia leaf and got very close to it with my 60mm macro lens. It showed no concern about my close presence.

Today, the same wasp was on the same leaf, looking just as pre-terminal, when a smaller wasp arrived and seem to have procreation on his mind. I spend several minutes watching and photographing them, totally fascinated by the females lack of cooperation and the males persistence.
