I love the XTi/17-55 lens combo. A pretty terrific pair. This picture was very, very dark,(just my fluorescent desk lamp) because Ricky was in a very dark place, so I had to lighten it a lot. It was mighty noisy, but Noise Ninja did a nice job (at 12-12-0) of cleaning it up. A liberal amount of sharpening brought back a lot of detail that the noise reduction smoothed out. The IS in this lens is extremely effective. It's pretty darned hard to get a sharp picture at 1/8 of a second when you handhold a dslr, but this lens helped me do it. It's a treasure. (Ricky is coveting his new "Moo Cow" toy that Aunt Patty brought for him.)
