A brilliant patch of sunlight, the rest in heavy shadow...a challenge for any camera. I think the Fuji does very well in these circumstances. You do have to use a minus 2/3 exposure compensation. Then open up the shadow area with a shadow/highlight adjustment, a levels adjustment as I used for this image or your favorite method. Cyan cast in fur adjusted with color balance, moving cyan slider a bit towards the red side. I frequently find that white fur has color casts in it - usually blue or cyan...depending upon the camera.
