I have to agree with you, Jan. My daughter has adopted a Sphynx cat (not this one) because she is allergic to other cats...and having one that has to be bathed once a week has given her a creature to love that she might otherwise not been able to have. It is purely man's selfishness that has caused this breed to be developed. Hers is a rescue that might otherwise have suffered even more.

This is a beautiful photograph of a very sad, bald, cat. Having been owned by Persian type cats for almost 40 years I can fully sympathise with the owners of these poor creatures. I can't understand why these are bred this way. These cat's could not possibly survive in the wild. But of course that's not the point of this feature. Lovely creature. Lovely image by a photographer who loves my super lense (the Canon 17-40L). Well done...
