Even with a fast shutter speed and higher ISO it is HARD to handhold a 90mm macro lens steady...and depth of field is so shallow, I find myself throwing away a lot of shots. I was entranced with the Tamron 180 macro...but I realize I would HAVE TO use a tripod with that one. Don't think that lens is on my list any more.
