It's one of the last trees to leaf out.

I find that images with lots of leaves can look harsh and busy and that a bit of softening in post processing makes them easier on the eyes. This was done with the FocalBlade plug-in. It's mainly a sharpening plug-in but I use it more for softening. Nice fo dog and cat fur, as well.
