There have been sightings of bears throughout our neighborhood and this fellow or lady had just been munching on my neighbor's pumpkins.

I suspected some bear activity when I heard a very loud bang against our house. Turned out it had been made by a pumpkin rolling down the driveway.

This is the first time in the 23 years we've lived in this house that I've seen a bear in the neighborhood. I have, however, seen lots of destroyed bird feeders. (I brought mine in early today.)
