This is not the lens I would choose for closeups of insects, but I wanted to see just how much I could crop and image and still seem some detail. The next image shows the original content of the file, sized down for pbase.

There is no denying the Sony sensor holds a lot of detail and texture. I keep wondering about a jump to FF and taking advantage of cropping.
