It makes me feel good that the orchids we bought at Owen's Orchids in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, are doing so well, despite the fact that some of the buds have blasted, no doubt from change of venue. When they finished blooming and I cut the flower stalk off above a potential stem-growing bud, I will put the plants under lights until the stem gets so longer that it will no longer fit under the light fixture.
