This one blurs the background. I imagine it's much more effective on the Samsung models that have optical zoom. There is no telephoto setting on this model, but since I placed the bear far from the background you can see the effect of the blur. With the background closer, the feature is rather useless. (Too bad the excellent lens has picked up all the debris on the carpet!)
