SRX00436 Tulip Poplar Blossom

I love the way the sun outlined this tulip poplar blossom. It's the first time in 20 years that I've seen blossoms on this tree. Had a few blossoms not fallen to the ground, I never would have known to look up and search for more. It's not really a poplar: http://www.uky.edu/hort/Tulip-Poplar

Lovely the way the light is shining through it. What a neat blossom for a tree.

What a gorgeous shot this is. I envy you your tulip tree. They don't really grow here, though our arboretum had two, one died, not sure about the other. V
