Taken from about 4 feet away (closest I could get the nymph in focus when zoomed) with the Sony RX10 iv. I find it hard to hold the camera steady to make sure the subject is in focus. This is cropped down to about 20% of the total content of the image. For flightier subjects having a longer working distance is a better idea, but keeping them in the viewfinder is a challenge. The next image, taken with a micro43 camera and 60mm lens is cropped down to about 35% of the total image.
