Yes...they are lovely, but can get really sloppy looking without enough sun, as is my situation. I cut mine back in early spring and it's reasonable.
If you have a sunny place where you can grow milkweed, it is a plant that monarchs will lay their eggs on. While the butterflies like the butterfly bush they won't lay eggs on it.
