The very harsh light created unrecoverable highlights. Had the sun disappeared behind a cloud, this would have been better. A smaller aperture would have helped too! Paper wasps are utterly fascinating to watch as they tend their nests: http://www.pbase.com/isabel95/paperwasp

Still, it turned out pretty well. I like the translucence in its legs. antenna and midriff in particular.
