_MG_8289 Unfurling Moonflower

Ipomea Alba

Went outside to check on the plants after a heavy thunderstorm and found this moonflower about to unfurl. If you've never grown a moonflower plant, you really should. Utterfly fascinating and beautiful. As I was leaving to return inside I saw some movement to my left and a parade of turkey hens and poults was prancing by. Caught just one hen - see the next image. (As usual, the wrong lens was on the camera!)

(Daturas, with which this has been confused, can bloom at any time and smell awful. This blooms only at night and the scent is divine.)
